About this event
Some technologists propose that a key benefit of artificial intelligence is how it will ‘democratize’ reason or intelligence by making it akin to a widely accessible public utility. But what does it mean to turn intelligence into a public utility? And what kind of wonder is this wondrous achievement: is it an achievement that liberates or binds us?
Drawing on classical literature and philosophy, Kevin Kambo, Ph.D., ( Associate Professor, Philosophy, University of Dallas ), will explore how aspects of human life and intelligence resist technological capture and control in the 2026 Sharp Chapel Lecture Series on Faith, Science, and Philosophy.
Reception at 5:30 p.m. in the Sharp Chapel Atrium. Lecture at 6 p.m.
