73 area seniors from local schools were announced as National Merit semifinalists on Wednesday morning in Broken Arrow, including students from Bartlesville, Bixby, Booker T.

Washington, Claremore, Jenks, Owasso, Pryor, Union, and Wagoner along with private schools.

Union Public School announced that three seniors were named the 2025-26 National Merit Semifinalists, including Raghav Rajaperumal (a Broken Arrow student).

The semifinalists will work to meet requirements and become finalists for a scholarship program offering 7,600 awards in February.

Broken Arrow Museum’s special exhibit features chaplain Scott Keele’s 9/11 artifacts — including a Broken Arrow flag once displayed with an Oklahoma flag — and personal photos.

The exhibit runs through Sept. 25 to help locals learn about resilience and unity from that day.
