- ➤ Jeri’s House in Broken Arrow helps DeafBlind adults learn life skills, independence, and sign language with hands-on training and residential support ranging from two weeks to six months. - ➤ Local residents can enter a New Year contest for a chance to win $2,026, which may help cover rent or mortgage payments for all of 2026. The contest opened January 1 (9:45 a.m.) and will accept entries according to official guidelines. KRMG News

- ➤ Residents in Broken Arrow will vote later this year to raise the state's minimum wage for the first time since 2009. Nearly two dozen states raised wages on Jan. 1 + Oklahoma now gives voters the chance to update the rate. FOX23

- ➤ Local teen singer Jazzy Smith, 18, is raising funds through a GoFundMe campaign for specialized treatment in Florida after battling Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She is set to undergo a 4-6 week cervical curve correction while enduring severe pain and seizures. KJRH
