- ➤ Legacy Childhood Education in Broken Arrow held an urgent meeting yesterday to discuss tough choices as state child care funding cuts are set for April and July. The center outlined cost-cutting measures, such as reducing hours & capping enrollment, and sought family input on how to stay open for children. KRMG News
- ➤ State Senate leaders proposed a $254 million funding package for education that will boost teacher pay and literacy programs— a red flag warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. today for several counties including Tulsa; residents should avoid outdoor burning. FOX23
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Due to dry grass, gusty winds and low humidity, Broken Arrow has enforced a burn ban today while fire crews have deployed extra brush trucks (small units for tight spots) and increased staffing to quickly combat wildfires. Residents are urged to follow the ban and report any signs of fire. KTUL
