Good morning, Broken Arrow.

Healthcare Career Day will take place on April 10th for more than 3,000 high school students in Broken Arrow to learn about many healthcare careers beyond traditional roles.

Local experts from Hillcrest, Ascension St. John Broken Arrow, and St. Francis will lead hands-on activities and discussions to guide students in exploring options like radiology and healthcare accounting.

Union Public Schools announced they will offer the Summer Food Service Program to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students this summer on a first come, first served basis; meals will be served at different school sites with set schedules that skip Fridays and certain holiday periods.

A Broken Arrow man said barred owls have nested in his backyard for the second year in a row—an indication the species is thriving locally.

Next week, work will begin on a traffic henge project at the I-44 and U.S. 75 interchange—closing the westbound I-44 off-ramp to northbound U.S. 75 until the project's complete.

Weather may delay progress, and construction is expected to finish in summer 2028.
