- ➤ The Oklahoma State Department of Education announced a bonus program for special education teachers joining Oklahoma public schools that will offer $20,000 to teachers who taught out-of-state last school year and $10,000 to new teachers—retention bonuses of $5,000 and $2,500 will be paid in the second year. The program is expected to bring up to 110 teachers with a total investment of $1.875 million, and applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open in May and run until Sept. 1. FOX23
