  • Camp Bandage will teach kids first aid and safety practices at Central Park in Broken Arrow on May 3, from noon to 4 p.m. Organizers said the free, family-friendly event will include hands-on learning, booths, and free ice cream + hot dogs to help prepare children for emergencies.  News On 6
  • Broken Arrow is hosting its annual Rooster Days Egg Hunt that begins today when the first clue is posted at 11 a.m. by J. David Jewelry near Aspen and Kenosha; the hunt will award a $1,000 prize and a ride in the Rooster Days Parade on May 18.  News On 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A Broken Arrow resident filed a civil lawsuit on Monday, April 28th against the city and police department, alleging that officers used excessive force that violated his constitutional rights. The suit details two incidents—one on July 28th, 2023 after a neighbor dispute and another on May 29th, 2024 when officers entered his home without a warrant—and seeks $1 million in damages.  News On 6
  • The Oklahoma State Election Board said that registered voters who did not vote or update their registration in 2022 and 2024 will soon get address confirmation notices in the mail and must reply within 60 days to avoid being marked inactive and removed after the 2028 General Election. Voters can update their information online via the OK Voter Portal or by mailing the card.  KTUL
