  • A local senior center choir of over 60 members visited several Broken Arrow fire stations on International Firefighters' Day to serenade 187 firefighters with songs and hugs — a warm nod to their daily service.  KJRH
  • The Dutch Bros Foundation donated over $25,000 to Make-A-Wish Oklahoma on April 18, with local Dutch Bros locations joining efforts to support children battling critical illness.  FOX23

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Saturday, the Turkish Raindrop House (near 91st and Houston) will host the Turkish Food and Art Festival, showcasing Turkish food, art and culture for local visitors.  News On 6

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Broken Arrow High School held its third-annual Fine Arts Signing Day today, where 50 seniors signed with colleges and earned $2.3 million in scholarships. Executive Director Darrin Davis said the event would help students become college-ready as they prepare for life beyond high school.  FOX23

HEALTH NEWS

  • Team Route 66 is a group of six cyclists with Parkinson’s cycling 1,600 miles to attend the World Parkinson Congress in Phoenix on May 24 (they are taking a two night stop in Broken Arrow before heading to Oklahoma City).  News On 6
