Good morning, Broken Arrow.

VENU announced design changes for the Sunset amphitheater in Broken Arrow at a city council meeting, including wind walls designed to block outside noise+weather so the venue can host events year-round.

The 12,500-seat facility’s cost increased from $74 million to $107 million+ it is now set to open in April 2026.

The Broken Arrow Police Department said a deadly motorcycle crash occurred Monday morning on Highway 51 near North Aspen Avenue just after 1 a.m. when a speeding motorcycle hit a car, killing the rider while the driver was unharmed—investigators are looking into the cause.

After the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Governor Stitt announced Monday that CBC Global Ammunition will invest $300M in a new facility at MidAmerica Industrial Park, the project will create 350 jobs and supply ammunition for law enforcement, military, and sports markets.

The facility will break ground later this year—thanks to performance-based incentives—and is expected to boost Oklahoma’s Aerospace and Defense industry.

The Oklahoma Poison Center urged Broken Arrow residents to stay alert for seasonal hazards as spring activities increased and poison-related calls for chemical exposures and spider bites rose after May 12.

The center recommended safety measures with pool chemicals, pesticides, and storage areas—such as opening containers outdoors and using gloves—to prevent accidental injuries.
