  • Broken Arrow Police officer Zack Vick rescued a child from a pond at Events Park (near East 101st Street and Oklahoma State Highway 364) at about 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, and the child is expected to recover well.  News On 6
  • The 2026 Stamp Out Hunger campaign collected 170,343 pounds of food and provided over 200,000 meals for neighbors in need across eastern Oklahoma.  Tulsa World

  • D's Creations in Depew received a $20,000 Amex Shop Small grant to expand its micro-market and offer more locally sourced meats and dairy. The upgrade will add freezers and refrigerators (improving access to Oklahoma-made foods) ahead of the Route 66 Centennial.  FOX23

CULTURE NEWS

  • KTUL earned a 2026 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for its investigative podcast 'Massacre on Magnolia Court,' which examines a 2015 case in Broken Arrow. The honor was announced Thursday by the Radio Television Digital News Association — recognizing a strong effort in local journalism.  KTUL
