- ➤ Residents in Broken Arrow have reported scam texts that falsely claim they owe money to a DMV — the Highway Patrol said the texts are untraceable, likely coming from overseas, and advised people not to click the links since fines are handled through the court system. KJRH
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Livesay Orchards began harvesting its Porter peaches early this season as early peach seasons have been common over the past two years; the National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for Oklahoma rivers—moderate flooding is expected from this evening until Monday morning with heavy rain forecast for today. Residents in areas prone to flooding are advised to monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action if water levels rise further. FOX23
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Oklahoma Broadband Office launched a broadband expansion project Friday with Atlas Broadband to improve high-speed internet across four counties—including Tulsa and Rogers—and will bring faster access to more than 2,200 residents in northeast Oklahoma within the next 8 to 12 months — the launch event was held at the Tiawah Fire Department in Claremore.
