- ➤ Yesterday, Noise Town hosted its first Metal for Meals concert fundraiser where three bands performed to raise donations for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma — portions of the event sales went to the charity. Tonight, strong thunderstorms are expected to affect areas such as Tulsa, Owasso and Wagoner with wind gusts up to 40 mph that may knock down small trees and unsecured objects. FOX23
- ➤ Staff from Victory Christian Church sent semi trucks loaded with food, water, and flashlights to help flood victims in central Texas after a disaster that killed 79 and left 11 children missing — the church will also recruit volunteers to help clean up and rebuild. Donations such as towels, shampoo, and soap can be dropped off at the church's lobby off 81st Street and Lewis Avenue. KJRH
