- ➤ Turkey Mountain park will open an 88-acre expansion called The Sanctuary at Turkey Mountain on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.—the new area will include 7 miles of trails, an elevated Treehouse Hub that overlooks a pond, playground equipment, and picnic tables near the trail intersection southwest of 61st and Elwood, funded by private donations.
