  • High school interns from Monroe Demonstration Academy maintain community gardens that help feed nearly 90,000 food insecure residents in Tulsa County. CULTURE NEWS

  • Oklahoma teens in Broken Arrow created the award-winning short film Self-Reflecting, which explores anxiety through a young man facing intrusive thoughts in his bathroom mirror—filmed in six days at Quartz Mountain. The film has been selected for nine festivals and will screen at Circle Cinema on July 13 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.  News On 6

  • State Superintendent Ryan Walters announced that districts must now cover the cost of student meals with their budgets—this change could force cuts in programs or staffing if extra funds are not found. Broken Arrow Public Schools could face an additional expense of about $8 million while officials await legislative approval.  KTUL
