  • Broken Arrow city leaders posted images of a $12M library expansion plan for the South Chestnut facility and asked for feedback from residents. The design may enlarge the building from 6,000 to 18,000 square feet—adding a larger children’s area with an amphitheater and storytime space—while $6M has been raised and the city is expected to contribute $5M without raising taxes.  KJRH

  • Developers held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Hackberry Market in south Broken Arrow that will bring in stores like Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, TJ Max and Burlington at a 211,000-square-foot site. The $98 million project is a public/private partnership that will use a sales tax-only TIF to fund infrastructure upgrades—expected to generate about $120.5 million in sales tax revenue over 25 years.  KRMG News

  • Attorney General Gentner Drummond and 13 other state attorneys general have written to Fire Aid asking for details on the $100 million raised for Los Angeles wildfire victims—she requested donor counts, state totals, grant templates, and measures to ensure donations help the victims. The letter names Fire Aid President Gillian Zucker as the key contact and follows reports that the funds may not have been distributed as intended.  KRMG News

  • An investigation by Oklahoma Watch found that Saint Francis Hospital has separated families from patients due to unclear guardianship orders, leaving loved ones like Leroy Theodore stranded before his death.
