  • The Main Street Players, a senior readers’ theatre group in Broken Arrow, turns poems, songs—and stories into lively weekly performances at various community venues. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students in Broken Arrow returned to school for the new school year after summer upgrades added classrooms at two elementary schools and built the Sequoyah Eighth Grade Center. The district boosted safety with a new high school perimeter fence and extra resource officers and opened a fine arts wing—steps that come as it also adopts a new cell phone policy.  News On 6
  • Today, students in Broken Arrow and Muskogee started classes as the new school year began — Broken Arrow Superintendent Chuck Perry said he feels optimistic about district plans while Muskogee officials prepared to enforce a new cell phone ban in schools.  KJRH
  • Tara Thompson of Broken Arrow Public Schools said the district will begin the school year with new start times and several open positions — the changes will be put in place to better meet student and staff needs.  FOX23
