- ➤ Bodies Race Company will host the Spooky Sprint on Sunday, October 19 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Riverside 96th Street Park where families can join a 5k, 10k, half marathon, or Kid’s Dash while wearing Halloween costumes—participants will earn themed medals and enjoy live music, food, and a costume contest. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond asked the DEA to schedule bromazolam—known as designer Xanax—under the Controlled Substances Act because he said the drug is highly potent and unpredictable. He joined a group of 20 state attorneys general who reported that Narcan does not work on bromazolam overdoses and warned that delay puts citizens at risk. FOX23
