- ➤ Police closed Pine Street east of Garnett on August 27th after a crash left a woman critically injured when she was ejected from a car—officers found an overturned vehicle at around 3:30 a.m. and heard cries for help—and police are investigating as one driver contacted authorities while another remains at large. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Attorney General Gentner Drummond held a news conference today in Oklahoma City and said it is illegal for the Highway Patrol to stop patrolling Tulsa and Oklahoma City, even though Commissioner Tim Tipton will shift patrols to rural highways effective November 1—her formal opinion challenges that change.
