- ➤ Joseph Storer, a sixth grader at Broken Arrow Public Schools Virtual Academy, said his online classes helped reduce the stress of his ADHD and Tourette’s — his ticks are almost gone and his grades are good. His mom added that the school provides strong support and that an elementary open house will be held on September 5 from 1 to 2 p.m. FOX23

- ➤ Local law enforcement and the Grand River Dam Authority urge travelers to follow safety rules this Labor Day weekend — children must wear lifejackets, drivers should allow extra time, and boaters must avoid alcohol. Officials also advise flyers to have proper identification and prepare for longer airport security lines. KJRH
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ EMT Jonathan Penick has been honored with the 2025 Star of Life award by EMSA—marking the highest honor for emergency medical services—for his dedication and service in the Eastern Division. He will represent EMSA in November at the American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life event in Washington, D.C. KTUL
