  • A Broken Arrow man led a high-speed chase that ended when his Dodge Charger crashed into a Sonic Drive-In this weekend — he fled on foot after removing his car's license plate before police arrested him on charges including using a firearm during a felony and reckless driving.  KRMG News
  • An Owasso Junior High teacher, Milton Denny, was arrested in Broken Arrow on Aug. 15 for allegedly assaulting a family member during a domestic dispute—he has been suspended indefinitely by the school district pending further investigation.  KRMG News

  • Broken Arrow's senior quarterback Jeramiah Ssettimba earned player of the week honors after throwing 13-of-16 for 303 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-14 season-opening win at Springdale—while Adair's senior quarterback Cooper McCord earned the Readers' Choice honor with 400 total yards and six touchdowns in a 40-14 win at Jay.  Tulsa World
