- ➤ Broken Arrow Neighbors opened the Book Nook this spring in a small blue shed on its campus to sell donated books that fund local food, rental assistance, and mentorship programs — each book costs between $1 and $4 and spending $5 earns a free book coupon. The Book Nook is also connected to the Wagoner County Dolly Parton Imagination Library program that delivers free books monthly to children until their 5th birthday. News On 6
- ➤ Gatesway Foundation, a nonprofit that helps adults with intellectual disabilities, received a large donation of furniture from Church 3434 to furnish five bedrooms in new cottages for residents like Edward Valencia — the foundation is now seeking more donations for over 50 additional rooms as construction nears completion. - ➤ The Public Service Company of Oklahoma held a winter storm readiness drill on Wednesday where over 100 staff practiced emergency response using an incident command structure — including tests of new drone-in-a-box technology aimed at reducing outage times.
