The Paula Marshall Foundation held the Pickleball With a Purpose tournament on Thursday to raise funds that built schools and helped over 1,000 children in Ghana receive an education — CEO Paula Marshall urged local families to value learning and grow globally.

Eighty-nine local high school students were named National Merit semifinalists Wednesday — they are part of the 16,000 semifinalists nationwide and must now meet further academic requirements to compete for about 7,000 scholarships.
