- ➤ Broken Arrow Public Schools added new classroom pods at Rosewood Elementary and Highland Park Elementary to increase classroom capacity for current students and future growth. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State Superintendent Ryan Walters asked all schools to take a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk but many local districts chose not to add extra time for a pause— this decision has led to debate over whether the move might break House Bill 1775. Some parents and community members feel that honoring Kirk supports free speech and expect more discussions on the issue— Walters defended his plan by saying it honors American values. KTUL
- ➤ Yesterday, the State Supreme Court temporarily blocked the new social studies standards—pending a lawsuit by Oklahoma parents and religious leaders challenging the content—and ordered the 2019 standards to remain in place until further notice. News On 6
