GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Broken Arrow Police Department signed on to the 30x30 initiative to improve the representation and treatment of women officers—ensuring policies support equitable hiring, retention, and promotion. The department expects women to make up 30 percent of recruit classes by 2030 as part of a national effort to enhance policing outcomes. FOX23
- ➤ Broken Arrow Parks and Recreation earned national accreditation through CAPRA and the National Recreation and Park Association on Wednesday during the NPRA Annual Conference in Orlando — meeting 154 standards that demonstrate its commitment to high-quality service. The department manages over 1,000 acres and 43 parks while offering year-round indoor and outdoor programs for residents. FOX23

- ➤ USA BMX Foundation will host Tailgate for a Cause on Friday, October 24 at its Headquarters in Tulsa. The event will replicate a BMX racing pit (offering a tailgate dinner, live music, BMX freestyle demonstration and silent auction) to raise money for STEAM education kits, summer camp scholarships and elite athlete activation.
