  • An Oklahoma financial expert from BOK Financial explained that the Fed cut interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday, lowering the prime rate to 8% and making it cheaper for businesses and consumers to borrow + in turn, the move is aimed at boosting job growth and consumer spending.  News On 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Broken Arrow is asking residents to help choose projects for a 2026 bond package that will go before voters in April. The City Council will make the final choices after a public forum on Sept. 25 at South Broken Arrow Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m.—residents can review the proposals and share their views.  KTUL

SPORTS NEWS

  • Tulsa ended its 10-game losing streak to Oklahoma State Friday night at Boone Pickens Stadium with a 19-12 win that was its first win in Stillwater since 1951 and first over OSU since 1998 — the victory gives first-year coach Tre Lamb a strong boost going forward.  Tulsa World
