- ➤ Country star Eric Church will bring his Free The Machine Tour to the BOK Center in Tulsa next year—he is set to perform on Feb 26 with Stephen Wilson Jr. and tickets will go on sale online starting Oct 3 at 10 a.m. KTUL

- ➤ The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation announced that the Fall WorkInBA Career Fair will take place on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central on Main Ballroom at 210 N. Main St.—local employers will meet with job seekers to offer on-the-spot interviews and resume support. KTUL
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office held a news conference to share safety measures for the Tulsa State Fair, including free wristbands and facial recognition technology to help reunite lost children with their parents and the use of new drones for enhanced security. The department also reminded visitors to secure any firearms in their vehicles and to report suspicious activity via QR codes — steps designed to safeguard more than 1 million fairgoers over the 11-day event. - ➤ Oklahoma Department of Labor inspectors are preparing for the Tulsa State Fair by checking every ride's safety ahead of its opening today—ensuring that each ride passes a comprehensive inspection—and will continue monitoring ride operations until Oct. 5. FOX23
- ➤ Broken Arrow Police Department is joining a national effort to increase women in policing by signing the 30X30 Pledge, which aims to have women make up 30% of recruit classes by 2030. Officer Jessica Cotton said (studies show women officers use less force and build better rapport with victims) and the department will host a Women in Policing event on November 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Training Center. - ➤ Saint Francis Hospital announced yesterday it became a Level 1 Trauma Center—earning the designation over 3 years from the American College of Surgeons and ensuring 24/7 access to surgeons and specialists. It follows the recent upgrade of St. John Hospital—making it the second Level 1 facility in Tulsa. News On 6
