  • Frank Leinen, a 40-year-old Broken Arrow police academy recruit and former paratrooper, died after a medical emergency on September 24—visitation is today from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Cemetery and his funeral will be held on October 3 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow.  KRMG News

  • Governor Kevin Stitt will hold a press conference today at Eisenhower International School in Tulsa to outline his plans for the future of education after Ryan Walters resigned as state superintendent—he said students remain a top priority and a new superintendent will be chosen soon.  News On 6
  • Local educators and parents say the state must act to keep special education teachers as many leave due to heavy workloads and low support—union president Shawna Mott-Wright said the shortage jeopardizes services for students with special needs.  KRMG News
