- ➤ Oklahoma biologists captured and banded Canada geese during their summer molt to track migration patterns, monitor population trends, and support wildlife management—an effort coordinated with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. - ➤ The Oklahoma Department of Transportation hired Boomer Environmental for a rapid cleanup of homeless camps during Operation SAFE and billed $545,680 for a two-week project — including over $93,000 in travel charges despite having contractors closer by. - ➤ Governor Kevin Stitt announced that departing board members Zach Archer and Sarah Lepak have been replaced by Brian Bobek and Wes Nofire on the State Board of Education. Bobek directs the Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and Nofire, a former Native American liaison, joins the board to support its focus on transparency, accountability and excellence—key priorities for education.
