ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Oklahoma Department of Transportation approved lower speed limits on Highway 67 in Glenpool after a 9-year-old boy was killed in a crash; new signs will lower the limit from 65 to 45 mph from Highway 75 to near Peoria beginning Monday afternoon—Glenpool officials said the change came after community demands. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, October 6, the Oklahoma Transportation Commission approved an eight-year $8 billion plan to improve highways and bridges statewide—projects include I-35 upgrades in McClain County and shoulder additions in Pottawatomie County. The plan will start in fiscal year 2026 and a separate $500 million plan will focus on preserving current roadways. News On 6
