- ➤ The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals will host its Annual Fundraising Gala 'Fur Ball' on Saturday and Jan Lavender with OAA + Ashley Dwyer, owner of miracle dog Fern, joined FOX23 to discuss the event and share Fern's story. FOX23
- ➤ A list of free Veterans Day meals and deals was shared for Green Country. Restaurants including Oklahoma Joe's—Starbucks—Denny's and others will offer specials on November 11, and veterans must show a Military ID to take advantage of the offers. FOX23
- ➤ Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is under strain from the ongoing government shutdown and SNAP suspension—volunteers and staff are pushed to the limit as they manage growing donations in 24 counties—leading CEO Jeff Marlow to warn of supply challenges ahead of Thanksgiving. Marlow said the bank needs more canned proteins, fruits, vegetables and extra warehouse help to meet the rising demand. FOX23

- ➤ Overnight, thieves broke into four Habitat for Humanity homes (near 36th Street North and Lewis) and stole appliances, countertops, plumbing fixtures and more from houses that were weeks away from being occupied. KRMG News

- ➤ Seamore the sea turtle turned 31 as guests and staff celebrated his birthday at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks yesterday. The beloved resident has inspired visitors for over two decades and now asks for donations to support marine life care — his birthday wish. News On 6
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ PSO lowered electric bills this month as lower natural gas prices reduced costs — residential customers using about 1,100 kilowatt-hours are expected to save around $12, a roughly 7% decrease. The company also offers weatherization services, energy efficiency rebates and flexible payment plans to help families manage energy costs. KTUL
