PSO and OG&E announced they will lower electric bills because falling natural gas prices have reduced costs — a decision made after PSO filed a request in September with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to raise bills by more than $10 per month — reflecting a shift in rate plans.

The City of Broken Arrow said a section of Liberty Parkway Trail will be closed during construction on the Creek Turnpike Bridge — the closure near Garnett Road and New Orleans Street will remain until the project is complete.

Family and Children Services said that the ongoing government shutdown is raising anxiety and stress in Tulsa County where 1 in 5 people rely on SNAP benefits—especially children and seniors—and local agencies are expanding help for those facing food and financial challenges.
