COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On Wednesday, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma loaded pallets of food three times above their normal weekly amount as SNAP benefits were suspended, and CEO Jeff Marlow said workers used three trucks daily—serving 600 partner agencies across the eastern area. Marlow added that the food bank will keep working overtime to help Oklahomans in need.  FOX23

CRIME NEWS

  • Broken Arrow nonprofit Legacy of Hope Dog Rescue said its storage unit was broken into and essential dog supplies were stolen, leaving director Marcye Davies heartbroken while Broken Arrow police said they have a lead and the investigation is ongoing.  KJRH

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students at Rosewood Elementary played pickleball during recess after ACE Pickleball Club donated paddles and balls and learned the basics in physical education classes — the school installed new courts a few months ago to give kids another fun way to be active.  News On 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Air travelers face delays as the FAA will cut flights by 10% at 40 major airports by Friday — travel insurance is recommended to cover extra costs if flights are canceled. At Tulsa International Airport, connecting flights may be affected, and local travel experts advise checking airline apps for updates.  KJRH

SPORTS NEWS

  • The TU men’s basketball team claimed the Mayor’s Cup for the second straight season—Tylen Riley hit a free throw with one second left to give them an 88-87 win over Oral Roberts last night at Mabee.  Tulsa World
