- ➤ Broken Arrow rolled out a $100,000 film incentive fund—aimed at boosting the local economy and attracting film productions—on November 24th, and city officials said the fund will help the city grow its film industry. FOX23
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City leaders announced that Broken Arrow plans a potential $10 million upgrade for Rose District Plaza that will double the covered pavilion area for events—farmers’ markets, ice skating and outdoor activities—and require a bond vote in April, with project completion estimated in 2 to 3 years if approved. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The American Red Cross of South Central and Southeast Oklahoma has offered Thanksgiving cooking safety tips to help prevent home fires by urging families to stay in the kitchen and use timers while cooking + to keep children, pets, and flammable items safely away from heat sources; they also advise installing and regularly testing smoke alarms to guard against accidents.
