- ➤ The Broken Arrow Fire Department held its 'Summer of Fun' event at Station 2 yesterday, serving free ice cream while firefighters gave local kids a tour of fire trucks. KRMG News

- ➤ The Broken Arrow Fire Department urged residents to enjoy fireworks safely this Fourth of July by following manufacturer’s recommendations and staying off combustible surfaces. Fire Marshal Justin Sharp advised disposing of fireworks only once they are completely cool (placing them in a bucket of water overnight) to help prevent structure fires. KRMG News
- ➤ Residents in Broken Arrow are worried by yellow-green water from their faucets, although city officials say the water is safe and meets all state and federal standards. Timothy Robins from the Utilities Department said the discoloration comes from iron and manganese deposits scoured from pipes by high summer water flow+ water use has risen from 10 million to over 16 million gallons a day.
